2. Number of church volunteers needed for reciting or acting?

Volunteers will get the script beforehand. We kindly ask all volunteers to be free for a 2hr rehearsal on the day of the concert. Minimum 3hr before the event (e.g. 4:30pm - 6:30pm for a 7:30pm start).

 

3. Who in the church would be happy to chair the evening, both opening and closing? (We have a provided a suggested script -  see script).

4. Do you have a good sound system we can use or not?

It is not essential to have a sound system. Abi and the team will provide all the equipment that is needed.

 

5. Abi needs access to the building before the rehearsal on the concert day to test the sound system. Around 1hr before the rehearsal (e.g. sound check 3:30pm, rehearsal 4:30-6:30pm, concert 7:30pm)

6. If the venue is more than a 2hr car drive away, Abi kindly asks if church members can facilitate accommodation for one evening.

7. How many people are you hoping to invite? How many can the venue hold?

This will help us to bring the right amount of programmes and postcards. We hope to give these out freely to the audiences as a souvenir and a keepsake of the evening. Examples of postcards are available to view on this website.

 

8. Will the church be willing to provide a follow-up event or materials for people to take home and consider Jesus?

We can recommend the book “Encounters with Jesus” by Timothy Keller, to be purchased by the church for audience members who wish to know more. We recommend a follow-up event or programme that could include testimonies etc.

Costings.

8. The concert is free of charge. However, where possible, we ask for travel expenses and opportunities to donate, which will go towards the longevity of this ministry.

• Are you happy for us to provide a donation box?

• Abi would appreciate travel expenses where possible. If this is not possible please do let us know so we can arrange other means.
